“Rome was not built in a day”, is apt adage for the salaried. In the initial working years, expenses and aspirations are always running ahead of the income levels. By the time the salary grows to comfortable levels, retirement starts staring in the face.
Wealth for a salaried person is the essence of his working life and has to be sufficient to fulfill his aspirations as well as fund his retirement.
The only way to create wealth is to look long term, be disciplined and do not have asset allocation disasters.
